Dream of Plain

Sadaf Kobari

Dec 29 - Jan 12, 2024

M3

Starting on Friday, December 29th, Ba gallery will host a collection of paintings by Sadaf Kobari. This exhibition, titled "Dream of Plain," will be open to enthusiasts until January 11th.

Sadaf Kobari describes the space of her mind as an inner journey; passing by towering mountains covered in rocks, entering a mysterious and enigmatic forest, and ultimately finding herself on the shore of a calm and beautiful sea. She depicts these scenes as images of nature that have formed in her imagination.

These works are an accumulation of her subconscious, where motifs emerge as events arising from her mind and play a significant role in the texture of the image and the mutability of the works.

Undoubtedly, architecture, the profession she has been engaged in for many years, has had a significant influence on her works.

Statement

I walk through the landscape of my mind, passing by towering mountains filled with rocks, stepping into a mysterious and enigmatic forest, and suddenly finding myself on the shore of a calm and beautiful sea. I want to capture these scenes, an image of the nature that has formed in my mind.

The beauty of nature and its mysteries have always drawn me in, and the heartbreaking destruction of it by humans affects me deeply. These works are an accumulation of my subconscious, and the presence of these motifs is an event that rises from my mind, playing a significant role in the texture of the image and the mutability of the work.

I execute them without prior thought; it is truly a dialogue between me and the canvas before me. Certainly, architecture, as a profession I have worked in for many years, has a significant influence on my works.
