Destruction
Hassanali Jahanshahi Afshar
Nov 3 - Nov 17, 2023
Starting on Friday, November 3rd, Ba gallery will host a collection of paintings by Hassanali Jahanshahi Afshar for the second time. This exhibition, titled "Destruction," will be open to enthusiasts until November 17th. He is interested in the relationships between color and abstract forms alongside the events and occurrences on the canvas. The diversity of materials used in his works reflects an effort to achieve a personal style and content that stems from his way of living and thinking. In his works, Hassan Ali addresses the frustration resulting from repeated failures, systemic corruption, and the moral and cultural decay.
Through his art, Hassanali Jahanshahi Afshar not only expresses his emotions and thoughts but also seeks to invite the audience to reflect on profound human and social issues.
Artists
Statement
The present collection titled "Destruction," which is beside you, is the result of my personal study and insight into subjects that undoubtedly stem from the lived experiences and the foundations of personal life of every artist as a creator of works. For me, these works convey a sense of "stagnation" and "collapse" in the life of a human affected by the structure of a "destroyed" social and individual environment. These works, through a conscious selection, aim to reveal the "passion for life" and "hope" within the concept of destruction.
The "Destruction" project represents a challenge for me in bridging the gap between "art and life" through seemingly ceremonial elements beneath the surface of contemporary "phenomena" that are currently "living."
