"The Other Face" of an Artist

In this series, the artist has gone beyond the reflection of the external image of the portraits and, by creatively utilizing visual elements, has paid attention to the dimensions and personality aspects of his subjects. In these portraits, as in his previous paintings, Azizi adopts a free expression in terms of both technique and characterization, presenting a space between reality and imagination. To put it more clearly, Azizi’s portraits in this series are as much a result of the artist’s personal perceptions of observing and understanding his surroundings as they are of pointing out realistic aspects of the people around him.
