"The Other Face" Between reality and imagination
Aug 9, 2024
According to the Culture and Society desk of ANA News Agency, Nasser Azizi has created a series of expressive portraits in his latest collection, distinguishing it from his earlier works by focusing on smaller dimensions. These pieces primarily reflect the emotions and inner worlds of his subjects, inviting the audience into their personal realms.
In this series, Azizi moves beyond the external appearance of the portraits. By creatively utilizing visual elements, he delves into the psychological and character-driven aspects of his subjects.
As in his previous works, Azizi adopts a liberating approach both in technique and in character depiction, presenting a space that hovers between reality and imagination. His portraits balance realistic references to people around him with his subjective interpretations and observations.
Born in 1970, Naser Azizi earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting from the Faculty of Art and Architecture at Azad University. This exhibition, titled “The Other Face”, marks his second collaboration with Ba Gallery, following several previous solo exhibitions of his work.
The exhibition will run from Friday, August 9, to Friday, August 16, at Ba Gallery, showcasing Azizi’s latest artistic explorations.
