Starting on Friday, July 12th, the gallery will host a collection of paintings by Shirin Moayya. This exhibition, titled “Illusion”, will welcome art enthusiasts until August 26th.

We are not entirely certain if we exist in this world or if a world exists within us. By crafting the beautiful world within ourselves, we become creators of the best realities around us.

Shirin Moayya’s art creates a world that is deeply personal yet filled with contradictions and encounters—both a reflection of the artist’s inner self and a mirror that allows us to see ourselves within it. The aesthetic of Shirin’s paintings is defined by contrast.

Multiple layers of colors, materials, and forms evoke this sense, as if these contrasts repeat themselves in irregular cycles, constantly overlapping each other. Here, a gateway to the artist’s inner world opens up, shaped by her reactions to the external world.

In these works, we see the artist’s response to her surroundings—from the smallest everyday occurrences to the most significant social issues.

Statement

We do not exactly know whether we are in this world or the world is within us, by creating a beautiful inner world, we can become the creators of the best in our outer world. Shirin Moayya’s art creates a world that is both highly personal and full of contradictions and interactions that both reflect the artist’s inner feelings and allow us to see ourselves in it. The aesthetics of Shirin’s paintings are defined by contrast. Multiple layers of color, materials, and shapes convey this feeling, as if these contrasts are constantly repeating in irregular cycles, covering each other layer by layer. It is here that a window to the artist's inner world opens, and through her reaction to the external, we are given a glimpse into it. In these works, we can see the artist's reaction to events around her, from the smallest daily matters to the largest social issues.
